Ahem, also...on a non-music related and purely Chicago note: CTA got $241 million out of the stimulus package. Good, but there's still a lot of work to be done (CIRCLE LINE!!!!). Oh and Metra and PACE got $174 million combined...and some of the planned projects include new Metra stations on the southside!! Yeah! Let's make it easier for people to flee the city and live in the burbs!!! Fucking ridiculous....don't get me started on how CTA got into this funding hole decades ago. I'd need a whole new blog for that shit.
