A few months ago, British label Reactor reissued Loop's first LP, Heaven's End. By early 2009, all three of their LPs are supposed to be reissued, with bonus goodies of course. As a well-documented Spacemen 3 fan, I was informed that this was a good thing, so I decided to spring for Heaven's End. I was not disappointed. The comparison I've heard about Loop is that they're somewhere between The Stooges and Spacemen 3. I wouldn't go that far, but if you imagine what Spacemen 3 would sound like if they only made songs like their "rockers", "Revolution", "Take Me To the Other Side" and, "Starship" then you're on the right track. There aren't as many tricks up Loop's sleeve, but that's not a bad thing. What they do, they do damn well, and Heaven's End should eventually find its way into any rock fan's library.
