Richard and Linda Thompson - I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

This album isn't a huge departure from my last post. Both are 70's albums of the folk-rock style although I think this album is definitely both more folk and rock than the Cohen album. You will also hear that it is distinctively British Folk with the use of concertina and accordions. I wanted to post it not only because it is one of my favorite albums but because it is so under-appreciated. This album is Richard Thompson's 2nd recording after leaving Fairport Convention and he continues to put out albums to this day. Most recently he did the soundtrack to Werner Herzog's Grizzly Man.
