The Hunches - Hobo Sunrise

These dudes released my favorite album of 2004 with Hobo Sunrise (I may actually post the list up here one day). They're on In The Red records, and that adequately describes one aspect of their sound, which is garage punk turned up to 11 and then tossed into an sea of feedback and white noise a la Psychocandy era Jesus and Mary Chain. Definitely loud and intense stuff, yet nowhere near the point of falling into the "noise" genre due to their ability to rock out. If you dig these songs, you should head over to Like Siamese Fish and check out the Coachwhips mp3 he's provided, as they're in the same vein as The Hunches.

Download - "Where Am I?"

Download - "Insectual Hum"

if I could scream any way I really wanted to, it would sound like 'where am I?' I first heard about this band from reading your top 10 list... thanks for bringing them up, because I love all of this.
