One listen of this album, and you just know it. You know for a fact that Mclusky are going to be one of those bands who were criminally ignored during their careers, but in 10-20 years they'll have albums rereleased and music geeks everywhere will talk about how amazing of a band they were (Gun Club, anyone??). Shit, Mclusky might even have a few lame ass bands get big off of playing watered down Mclusky songs and name dropping them as an influence just as Gang of Four is being used today. Why so sure? Because every song on this album is awesome...and yet almost no one has heard of them. They've got the sound: a heavily punk influenced Pixies style of rock; you know you've heard it somewhere before, and at the same time it's entirely Mclusky's sound. They've got some of the funniest lyrics you'll here from a band that rocks like they do. Even their song titles are ace ("Fuck this Band," "The World Loves Us and is Our Bitch," "Lightsabre Cocksucking Blues"). Despite all of this, they broke up in January of this year with very little acknowledgment. So yeah, check them out and definitely buy Mclusky Do Dallas as it's far and away their best work. You won't even have to thank me when kids are in awe of your musical prowess 10 years from now...
"The World Loves Us and Is Our Bitch"
"To Hell With Good Intentions"
"Day of the Deadringers"

Yes I agree. I have woken up in a cold sweat remembering how I heard them on the radio and was all set to go see them, then not going for some reason. I never got to see them, and Im pissed about it more and more. What do you know about their new projects? - T
Aside from what's on their website, depressingly little man. They said something should be surfacing late this year...
wow... is all I have to say. Thanks for turning me on to this band.
Bro, I've had the Without MSG I Am Nothing mp3 for a while now but never dug further. Thanks for bringing this band back into view. I need to crank this shit in my car.
