Big Boy and Andre
Outkast may seem to be a blatantly obviously group to highlight, seeing as how it has recently become official that everyone loves them. I think that this should make hearing this song that much more imperative, as it cannot be found on any of their studio releases, but was one of three singles released on their greatest hits compilation, Big Boi & Dre Present...Outkast. It might seem to be a throwaway track because of this, but "Funkin Around" is one of my all-time favorite Outkast tracks. It sounds like Aquemeni era Outkast (easily their best album) and features the horn heavy sound of that album. This track is a perfect example of how to use funk in hip-hop without becoming stale, so download it and make everyone you know who says hip-hop isn't real music listen to it, then tell them to shut the fuck up. It'll be awesome, promise.
