70s Soul music is what I heard pretty much everyday in my house growing up, and being that The Manhattans were one of my father's favorite groups, I came to know the words by heart simply through association. Although I'm not a fan of their entire catalog, and there are groups that I like much more than The Manhattans, their high points are absolutely brilliant. Songs like these are why I listen to almost zero "Rhythm & Blues" today, these groups were simply on another level. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if you don't know The Manhattans, but immediately know the words to any of the following songs. They're that sort of group.
